Fall

In my journeys to find ideas and activities to keep the children busy and focused on the chosen themes. I found some wonderful people who are very dedicated to their chosen profession. I found many resources that had fun ideas and activities. This has made it so much easier to plan a themed program! I cannot take credit for any of the ideas contained on my pages; they are the result of many other's combined years in the early childhood profession.

Songs to sing

I'm a little Scarecrow

(sung to I'm a little teapot)

I'm a little scarecrow
Raggedy and worn.
I wear a hat
And a shirt that's torn.
When the crows come,
I wave and shout,
Away from my garden-
Get out,get.

Sunlight Leaf Print

Pin a large leaf to the center of a piece of red
Construction paper. Leave in direct sunlight
for a day or more. When you remove the leaf, its Print will appear on the paper.
Ask your children what happened to the print?

Leaf Rubbing.

Place various leaves under a piece of white paper. Have the children rub crayons over the leaves. Leaving an imprint.

Nature Bracelet

Wrap a wide brown paper tape around the child's wrist inside out. Then when you go out for a nature walk, they may stick little things they find to the bracelet.
Example: small dried flowers, acorns, small pine cones.
